An Orientation program was conducted under the able guidance of Prof. Farzana Mahdi, (Director Academics) at Era University on 7th and 8th Sept. 2018. The occasion was graced by Prof. Dr. Abbas Mahdi , Vice Chancellor Era University, Mr. M.A. Khan, Pro-Vice Chancellor Era University and President, American University of Barbados. Dr. M.M.A. Faridi, Principal, Era’s Lucknow Medical College and Hospital, Lucknow and eminent faculty members.

The program commenced with a warm welcome to the students and their parents by Prof. Farzana Mahdi. She vividly familiarized the students about American University of Barbados. The Chancellor Mr. Mohsin Ali Khan sent his warm wishes to the students.

The Vice Chancellor and Pro-Vice Chancellor blessed the students for their future. Dr. Faridi inspired them that medicine should be taken seriously and that they should not be scared of the studies but always consider medicine as a very noble profession.

Small guidelines were given to the students on Stress Management, Personal Grooming, Medical Gaming for Enhance Learning and VARK (Visual, Aural, Read/Write and Kinesthetic) analysis for learning strategies.

The orientation program proved to be a sincere effort made by the team. The students and parents were very satisfied and felt accomplished that they had taken a wise decision in sending their wards to American University of Barbados, School of Medicine.
